2017 was a pivotal year for RODI in laying foundation for growth, impact and sustainability for the organisation. This was greatly informed by the strategic plan and resource mobilisation strategy as well as key guiding principles that cement RODI operations. In this year 1284 pretrial detainees were taken through screening and paralegal clinics to deepen their understanding of their cases as well as awareness on legal issues, court and trial procedures 1367 pretrial detainees were linked with relatives in accessing family support in case management, paying of bail and bond as well as initiating alternative dispute management.
